Part of the Rehearsal Edition series: classic works with simplified piano accompaniments that aim to maintain as much of the original music as possible whilst at the same time lightening the load for the busy accompanist and teacher. Perfect for exams and auditions.
Mozart's Flute Concerto No. 1 from 1777-8, a firm fixture in both the exam room and for auditions, presented in both a full and 'abridged' version (with shorter tuttis at the start and close of each movement).
The original textures, rhythms, figurations, melodies and voice-leading are maintained and/or conveyed in the piano part as much as possible whilst nips, trims, tucks, and the occasional redistributions have been carried out where it is felt to be necessary. Fingering suggestions have also been carefully added both in the spirit of efficient learning and for the benefit of the less experienced player.
The flute part remains unaltered according to the 1881 Breitkopf & Härtel publication upon which this piano reduction is based. Please note that there is no written-out cadenza included.
Total Number of Pages: 25 (Piano Score: 22 Pages of Music / Flute Part: 9 Pages of Music).
Total Number of Pages (Abridged Version): 24 (Piano Score: 21 Pages of Music / Flute Part: 9 Pages of Music)
